I love that our minds can weigh options, prioritize, use logic, and consider consequences.
Don't you?
I don't love that our minds are also fearful, cruel, and willing to talk us out of what we want most when things get hard.
Right?
My mind does ALL of these things.
Just because our minds have this range and capacity doesn't mean anything is wrong with us.
And yet we forget.
How can we produce effective and impactful results one day and then need to lie under the covers in the middle of the afternoon the next in a pool of self-pity tears because we're convinced we are good enough?
Speaking from personal experience here. That was me last week!
Why does it have to feel like we're standing on top of a seesaw, trying to find that perfect balancing point of mental consistency in the middle, and we keep overshooting it, running back and forth from one end to the other?
Good day. Bad day.
Productive, anything's possible day.
Spinning out, doubting, completely confused day.
Up, down, up, down.
What if we stopped running from one end of the seesaw to the other this week and jumped off instead?
Let's plant both feet on the ground and call in reinforcements.
Let's invite our hearts to take charge this week.
My heart has a very calm and steadying energy.
I suspect that yours does, too.
Our hearts are full of gratitude and grace.
They help us connect to the best of us.
They are pure kindness and honest truth.
The quality of our days, the amount we produce, and our level or lack of motivation do not create our worth.
Our hearts know this.
Worth just is.
Place your hand on your heart to acknowledge and honor this.
You are inherently worthy.
Return your hand to your heart any time you need to this week to remember this.
To settle your mind, get off the seesaw and feel how beautiful you are.
With immense appreciation & gratitude. Always.
