It’s time for a little…
This is the moment at the end of the week when we exhale, smile, and cherish all the significant and small moments when we showed up with grace.
The times we were brave, vulnerable, kind, quiet, rebellious, patient, strong, loving, or all of the above.
Today, we’re celebrating homecomings.
You may remember a few months ago, I shared how my daughter headed off for her Semester at Sea in this post.
Well, tomorrow she is coming home!
(insert image in your mind of me jumping up and down with excitement)
I will return to Logan Airport in Boston and await her arrival.
I already know that I won’t be picking up the same 20-year-old woman that I dropped off 4 months ago.
She will be different.
She’ll share stories about places she’s been and people she’s met, and I anticipate feeling proud, jealous, happy, and longing.
She’ll likely feel a spectrum of different emotions as she navigates her re-entry home.
We’ll drive to Maine, talking non-stop, and blasting music.
The car will be full.
Duffle bags of dirty clothes.
And lots and lots of emotions.
I can’t wait.
Cue the music, celebrate yourself, and have an amazing weekend.
With love,
