I did it!
It’s time for a little…
This is the moment at the end of the week when we exhale, smile, and cherish all the significant and small moments when we showed up with grace.
The times we were brave, vulnerable, kind, quiet, rebellious, patient, strong, loving, or all of the above.
Today, we’re celebrating sanctuary.
I LOVE this word. It’s so beautiful.
If you’ve been in my world for a while, you know I connect deeply to language, words, and their meaning.
Sanctuary = a place of refuge or safety.
I love what this conveys.
I see warmth, light, love, support, laughter, openness, compassion, and kindness.
I can’t think of a better image to fulfill my dream of creating a space for new(ish) coaches to fully step into their beautifully unique coach identities.
I’ve actually had this idea in my mind for a couple of years.
I’ll never forget first describing it to my brother, Hale, in August of 2021. I don’t know whether he genuinely understood what I was talking about (and that probably doesn’t matter at all), but I remember the date, the time, where I was sitting, the coffee mug I was holding, and most importantly, what I felt inside.
At that time, I had no idea how this community would come together.
Or when.
All I knew was that the idea lived within me.
Fast-forward to 2024, and I’ve found myself with a lot of unexpected time on my hands.
The open spaces on my schedule have allowed this vision to come into clear focus.
It’s been ready.
And just waiting for a name.
And that’s when I remembered how much I love the word Sanctuary.
Sanctuary = a place of refuge or safety.
This word so beautifully captures the vibe I want to create and the feeling that I want coaches to experience as they vulnerably grow their self-trust, self-concept, and self-confidence.
The perfect name.
It exists. It’s real. It’s happening.
I did it!
Cue the music, celebrate yourself, and have an amazing weekend.
