It’s time for a little…
This is the moment at the end of the week when we exhale, smile, and cherish all the significant and small moments when we showed up with grace.
The times we were brave, vulnerable, kind, quiet, rebellious, patient, strong, loving, or all of the above.
Today, we are celebrating nothingness.
Yesterday, I finally launched my boat.
It was about a month later than I would have preferred, yet the timing was perfect.
It was 88 degrees. No wind. No clients or projects to return home to.
I had hours on the ocean to myself.
I chose to float.
I watched the tide come in.
I heard the eagles, seagulls, and Canadian geese.
I didn’t read or look at my phone.
I ate one apple.
I surrendered to nothingness.
My mind and body needed quiet.
Nothing to learn, solve, or perseverate on.
It was a gift I didn’t know how much I needed.
Did you have any moments of nothingness this week?
If not, there’s still time.
Cue the music, celebrate yourself, and have an amazing weekend.
With love,
The boat sounds like perfection! I had a few moments in which I just got lost in hearing the birds sing and the sheer beauty of it. Summer is beautiful, so much to be grateful for.
This week had many moments of nothingness and it was great. My hubby and I had our first vacation in Hawaii without our son in well over a decade. Slow mornings waking up to the birds. Time just sitting watching the sunset. Up early watching first light. Slowing down is therapy for the soul.
